Young children ages 4-6 will get a hands-on introduction to riding with Wildwind’s lesson ponies. Each group of 6 students will be attended to by an English riding instructor and 6 student helpers. Miniature horses are used to teach the Tiny Tots to groom, tack and lead. These small miniature horses are just the right size for children learning groundwork. Students will concentrate on how to steer their own ponies and ride at a walk and post at the trot. Tiny Tot 2 riders that can ride independently will do so. Arts and crafts projects with a horse theme will ensure that each child has lots to take home. Games, bathing and feeding their own horse rounds out the camp experience for the Tiny Tots riders. Thursday at 11:00 AM there will be a presentation and refreshments for family and friends.
