Read all rules carefully. Some clinics are open to Wildwind students only. Others are open to anyone meeting the criteria for the clinic.

All participants must wear helmets. They are provided if you do not have one.
All participants, including parents, must wear long pants and closed toed shoes (no open back or sides).
Everyone must fill out a liability form which is available online.
Children showing up without a signed liability form will not be able to participate but will be expected to pay.
One (1) adult must attend class with students under age 8. (There is no charge for the adult.)
Cancellation 24 hours in advance allows you to reschedule.
No refunds will be given after registration. We will only offer rescheduling for another clinic.
Current Wildwind students bringing a friend to "Introduction to Horses" will attend free. (You must register at the office.)

Intro to Horses Clinic

Do you know someone who has thought about riding but wants to try it before signing up for lessons? This is the Clinic for them! Participants in the Intro to Horses clinic will learn about grooming and saddling, and being comfortable and safe around horses. After tacking up, Intro students will have a 45-minute lesson, where they will learn how to control their horse and try posting and two-point.

This class is a MUST for NEW STUDENTS. Students will learn the names and uses of each brush used to properly groom a horse. After the grooming portion of the clinic Students will learn about the parts of the saddle and how to properly place and secure the saddle to the horse as well as how to properly put on and take off a bridle.  By the end of this clinic you will be able to groom, saddle, and bridle your horse independently.

Basic Equine First Aid

Come enjoy an afternoon at the barn learning how to provide basic first aid for your equine friends.  The clinic will begin with learning how to read a horse's vitals. You will also learn signs and symptoms of common ailments, how to treat minor wounds, how and why legs are wrapped, and most importantly, recognizing when it's time to call a vet. This will be a hands on clinic suitable for all ages and skill levels.
