Determining your child's camp level
It is important that students are signed up for the camp best suited for their riding level. For most riders who participate in summer camps as their only riding experience, this can often mean signing up for many summers as a level one rider. That is completely OK and the safest option!
We want our campers to have the most enjoyable and safe week possible. During registration you will be asked what type of riding experience your child has - this will help us arrange students into groups and complete preliminary horse assignments. Our instructors work with all campers to help them gain experience and grow. Riders coming in with previous experience will continue to be challenged and taught new skills even as returning level one riders.
If you have questions about what level your child should be please do not hesitate to contact our office.
2022 camp registration is now open!
Register through our online store or by contacting the office.
Wildwind Equestrian Center provides a safe place for your child to make memories, meet new friends and be exposed to a healthy sport that develops physical fitness, balance, coordination, and confidence.
Wildwind Equestrian Center's summer horse camp is more than a way to fill a summer day; it's a chance for a horse-crazy student to spend an entire week with horses. We have over 20 well-trained horses and ponies to meet all our rider’s needs.
Along with daily riding lessons, students learn horsemanship, feeding, horse care, grooming, saddling, medical care and much more! During the week the new students will learn to walk, trot and steer their horses. More advanced students will work on continuing forward from the level they are at. All students will learn to ride through fun games, activities and obstacle courses. Weather is never a problem since we have both indoor & outdoor arenas. Regular Camp is offered weekly throughout the summer. The camp week experience is rounded out with a Horse Show and Potluck Lunch on Friday for family and friends.
